Student Council

 

Each November students and staff are involved in the nomination and election process of 8 students from Year 5 to be councillors for the following year.  The process is very exciting for the Year 5 nominees, as they are asked to give a speech to their fellow classmates to explain why they should be selected.

Elected Student Councillors perform a variety of weekly duties and run assemblies. They also attend special functions such as the ANZAC March and attend a GRIP Leadership Day with student leaders from surrounding schools.

Faction Captains

At the start of each year our PE Teacher Mrs Menegola arranges for students and staff to vote for Faction Captains.  Two students are selected from each faction (Millbrook, Nanarup, Kalgan, Yatana) to provide leadership to fellow students at school faction sporting events throughout the year.
