At Flinders we love having volunteers to help in classrooms, the vegetable garden and sporting activities.

To meet Department of Education requirements and ensure the safety of everyone at our school, volunteers are required to follow these steps before volunteering:

Sign in and out at the reception

This assists us to know you are here in case of emergencies.  You will be shown how to use our Passtab system, and if you volunteer regularly we can set up a Quickpin for you.

Working With Children (WWC) card or declaration

You do not need to produce a WWC Card if you are:

• a parent/guardian of an enrolled child, or
• you are under 18 years of age, and
• you are NOT working alone one-on-one with another child

However you do need to complete a Parent/Child Volunteer Declaration, once per year, available at reception.

Every other volunteer must produce a WWC card.

Complete a Work Health and Safety induction

This must be completed once per year and enables you to see our latest safety and emergency information, to ensure you are prepared for any incidents whilst on site.  To make this as easy as possible, you can use this link to complete an induction, or use the QR code below (also available at reception).
