Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Welcome back to another exciting year at Flinders Park Primary School! It has been wonderful to see our students and families return safely and refreshed after the holiday break. Over the past few days, I have enjoyed hearing about many of our students’ holiday adventures, with most taking advantage of the great weather to explore and enjoy the outdoors.
We extend a special welcome to our new families, particularly those with Kindergarten students. It was exciting to see our youngest learners keen and eager to start this morning.
A heartfelt thank you from the Flinders staff to our families for supporting your child to be organised and ready for learning from day one. It was fantastic to see our students arriving prepared and eager to engage in their learning, enjoying the amazing learning environments created by our staff. As a result, there was a positive and vibrant atmosphere across our school community. The joy of reconnecting was evident as students and families shared their experiences and settled back into the school routine.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's classroom teacher. They are keen to get to know you and your child to support their growth and learning throughout the year.
New members on the Flinders Team
We are excited to welcome the following new staff members to our school:
Term 1 Assemblies
To optimise our classroom teaching and learning time, we have scheduled our whole school assemblies for Friday afternoons, starting at 2:20pm. Our first assembly will be on Friday 21 February 2025.
Assemblies provide a great opportunity to celebrate student achievements, share learning experiences, and strengthen our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!
Breakfast Club
Starting next Monday 10 February 2025, Breakfast Club will now be held in Room 1.1 from 8:15 - 8:40am each day. All students are welcome! A huge thank you to Woolworths Chesterpass, Woolworths Bayonet Head, and Foodbank for their ongoing support and generosity in providing the much-appreciated breakfast supplies, and to Mrs Edwards for coordinating this valued program.
Free Stationery Supplies
We have generously been donated a range of essential back-to-school supplies, which we would like to share with our school community free of charge. Pop into Room 1.1 tomorrow afternoon from 2:30 - 3:10pm to collect any needed student supplies.
Dates for Your Calendar
We look forward to another fantastic term ahead!
Warm regards,
Kylee Weadley
